Plugin interfering?
From a command prompt try ping chess.com and see if you get anything from that.

My laptop works fine, but for some reason I can't access Chess.com on Google Chrome nor Firefox. Other websites work. Weirdly enough a competitor chess website did not work either. What could be wrong? Chrome just displays a message: "waiting for chess.com..."
