Are you talking about username change or name change ? Username can only be changed once but you can change flag and Profile name any number of times.
Try cleaning the cache. Sometimes low internet speeds also tends to do that. Do one thing, log off and log in again back and then try changing.
I cannot change my name. whenever I save, it changes my name back to the previous one.
