I can't find my friend

Hi I can find my friend however we are unable to play anything less than 1 day... we like to play 30 min challenge

You both need to be in the Live interface at the same time to play a Live game.

You have a few methods:

• Go to https://www.chess.com/members and type the username in the search box.  If it finds your friend, it there will be a link to Add Friend
• Go to their profile: chess.com/member/MEMBERNAMEHERE, then click on the Add Friend button
• Go to https://www.chess.com/home/friends, click the Add/Invite Friends tab, enter their name in the Chess.com Username field. It will auto-search as you type, so depending on how unique their name is, it may require you to enter more of the name. It is possible that some other member may have your friend's name as part of theirs, so you will get a drop-down list and you will need to select your friend and hit Request.

Hi, I'm unable to search names of my friends who has registered in Chess.com recently . Does it take some time for the usernames to get populated in the search database ? e.g.: Ronanchau, rajes31, chessplayah007, sunil_bahl, prash1988, lelac10

It may take a little time for new accounts to show up under search. But you can go directly to their profile if you know the name.

For example, https://www.chess.com/member/Ronanchau

Hi Martin, thank you for suggesting a solution but that option doesn't work most of the time; For example, a person with the following username 'paulvrgese07' registered at the same time as RonanChau but I'm unable to locate using the method suggested or even search under the members' field. Is there a delay in getting the usernames replicate in the chess.com database for new members and if so how long it takes for the username to be replicated? it's been 4 days since the person registered but I'm unable to locate the username
