Hi am a avid chess player am i am experiencing a bug which the game will not notice my moves. I will move a peice and it will stay there, but it remains my turn. The clock keeps ticking, and if i try to abort, it thinks i vialate fair play policy. Please help so i can play chess again

Sorry to hear that tj99er,

What system are you using to play on Chess.com? Will you let me know if you are using a computer or a mobile, playing through a browser or an app? (The more detail you can give including version numbers will be the most helpful!) :)

You may be in check, or your mouse is not working.

+calamondin I am playing chess.com on google chrom on my ASUS computer. If you need any more information just tell me. I appreciate the support.

+MrFunisfun I highly doubt it, seing as it occurs right as the game starts. I can move the peices, it just doesn't recognize it as the end of my turn

Thanks tj99er, you might try clearing the cached files and cookies in Chrome, and if you have a lot of extensions, one of them might be interferering. You might try removing them one by one and see if that helps.

To check to see that it is Chrome in the first place, perhaps try using FireFox and see if the same thing happens. :)

Are all of you using Windows XP and Chrome 40? We are investigating this if so. . .

Thank you for your patience with the issue of the non-moving pieces! It turns out that when Google updated the latest version of Chrome for WindowsXP, they did something that broke animation (not just for Chess.com). Anyway, we have put out a patch which we believe will solve the issue. If you are still having problems, please let us know ASAP. We are very sorry for the inconvenience!
