just start exploring... hopefully chess is your bag, if it is this is your site. To start playing jsut go to "my home" on the upper right click on online chess. either look at open seeks or start a new one.

the site IS user friendly, I mean for chess. If you have any questions I will try my best to figure it out
Kittycat95, for starters, do you know how to play chess? Are you ready to play over the board? or are you like many here, want to learn and to play? If you need help with basics things, start with the top menu, there is Play, Learn, etc. select Learn, a drop down menu will appear and you have some choices. Start with one and go to the next until you find something interesting. If you want to play select Play, you again have choices. Select what you want, explore a bit, and ask for help if you are lost. There are plenty instructional downloads and software as well. I've been a member since August or Sept 07 and I still am finding new things. Go to My HOME on the upper right side of the screen and your online home to find games you have in progress. You will need to experiment and explore your own home page a bit. good luck! and Send me a note if you need more assistance. Also there is a FAQ's at the bottom right of the website. and a Help.

see the green bar at the top? it has links to everything you can do on the site. we're working on a menu that will read your mind and go to the exact web page you are thinking of, but we haven't finished it yet. until then you either have to use the menu or the search bar. it's soooo 2007, i know.

I would suggest using the Tactics Trainer to improve your ability to create positions in your games and develop your calcualations. Also, thanks Erik for this great program.
