No we have both checked to make sure that it is not in our spam folder and there are no blocked senders on the email account.

If you've played chess at other sites, you might be expecting to get an email notification for *every* game, whenever any of your opponents moves. That's not the way the system works here, which is why the emails contain some text to the effect that "It may be your turn in other games as well." I believe that you get one email till you log back in (apart from the time-out warning emails, which come later). And for people who maintain a large number of simultaneous games, that's probably the right answer.
Of course, if you aren't getting *any* emails, this is just a lot of unhelpful blather. :)

lol thanks i think we figured it out. Looks like if a move is made within 10 mins of you logging out an email is not sent. I have the iphone app and my friend does not so i was making my moves almost right after his. I have started to wait about 30 mins after he makes a move to make mine and he has started getting the notifications.
Hey guys I have been playing email chess with a friend for years... we just discovered this site and love the layout and feel. The only problem is that we are not getting email notifcations of when it is our turn to make a move. We have both checked out spam folders and that isn't the problem and we have all the boxes selected in the account/alerts page. Can anyone help explain why we are not getting our emails?
