I want to hide my Chess.com account from showing up on search engines.

I am playing in a chess tournament, but when you search up my full name, my chess.com account shows up. I don't want people scouting my opening but despite changing all my information, it still shows up as top result. Is there anything to do to remove my name?

Remove your name from your profile and contact Google to remove their index of your name associated with the site.

Most people are not going to search up your name and scout your openings unless you’re playing in some super high level tournaments. If you are determined to keep your name from showing up, removing your full name from your profile I think stops you from showing up on chess.com (not 100% sure.) Most people will stop there rather than googling you. Martin Stahl commented and he knows more than me about this though. For new prep or prep for tournaments specifically you can get a second account approved (I did this to conceal my prep, got a second account really easily, it’s impossible to tell in any meaningful that it’s me even if you know I had a second account because there are so many players on this website.) Happy chessing, hope your tournament went well.
