It is interesting that the fair play policy seems to be shocking a lot of players here who apparently thought playing like a 4-year old brat (whose parents deferred most of their parenting decisions to what Elmo deemed correct) was considered competitive and classy until recently.

I wonder what stages of grieving do they go through once they've been put on notice?

Denial : What? Fair play? Of course I'm fair ... I only abort games If I feel you're not playing into my favorite opening.

Depression:  Gosh, I really do have my live-game privileges revoked ... this sucks.

Acceptance: Oh well, it's a free account so I can just bring back my seasoned brand of abuse with a new handle. It's not like I have an incentive to be a good sport anyhow.
