If I play vote chess...

Hello guys, I got a question about how does vote chess work. I am wondering that if I register for a vote chess, do I have to vote and submit for each move of my side, or I can just vote some of the moves which I wanna to do so. Besides, if I have to vote my own choice for each move, will my vote chess rating lower down whenever I miss any of the move of my side?

No, you may vote anytime you want and miss a move when you want. You don't have a vote chess rating at all.  If the team win's, the team gets 5 points.  If the team loses, the other team get's 5 points and you're team gets none.  If the team Draws, it gets 2 points.

The games and points are on you're team hompage and tell you where you place on the match leaderbord and how many points the team has aquried.  It also shows you the percent of the matchs you have won and the percentile where you place on  the match leaderboard.

Just beware, that, if you do miss a move and the rest of the team doesn't make a move in the time allotted, then the team loses on time.  So check to make sure someone makes a move so you wont time out.  It's a team event and not individual, so, ratings aren't even involved.  Just points.

Hope this helps you.  Message me if you have other questions.

Most of the strongest vote chess teams ask that you wait a day in a two day game before voting.  Some teams have a captain who will tell you when it is time to vote, and which move has been decided on.  Also, it's very important to read other people's comments, and post your own ideas, so that the move chosen is the result of an intelligent discussion rather than just a bunch of random votes.

Also, although I believe knightspawn5 is correct that your team will get five points for a win, it appears that your team gets only two points for a draw, and nothing at all for a loss.  A lot of the vote chess regulars here have been asking for a more accurate rating system based on Glicko or Elo, but so far, this is all we have.

Thanks for both of you answer my question. I still have another question: where does the point of vote chess displayed in my homepage?

In the green bar at the top, click on Groups, and then Vote Leaderboard.  Then you can look through to find the name of the group you play for.  A group's points are also listed on their home page which you can see by clicking on My Groups and then the group name.  Team Vote Chess Stats are on the right about half way down the page.

Not your homepage, the teams homepage.  Over to the right it shows you team matches won and Vote chess is right under the team match Box.....

@knightspawn5 , it seems you are slightly incorrect (or out-dated) - if the game is very short (some 2-3 moves), no points are given. What is the exact rule for that?

Speaking of out-dated, you are responding to a 12 year old post.

Also, the person you responding to hasn't been on here in 8 years.

There aren't any more recent...

Maybe, you know the answer?

Yeah I was wondering about that too. It seems that in VC when a club times out on the first move, no pts are awarded.

Dear Developers, it would be helpful to have a record of points earned in the "Info" tab of a vote chess game.

Do vote chess matches count towards the “Team player” And “team pillar” achievements if they’re against another team? Do they count if you’re the owner of that team? Thank you
