And I'm not talking full support, just enough tweaks to the game board javascript that I can play!

Imagine that sweet sweet $29.95 in your bank account :D

That would be interesting.  And worthwhile.  In the meantime, you should make a poll to see how many people are actually willing to switch over to membership if you do this thing.  I'm not one of those people though, since I don't have a wicked cellphone like some people do.

this feature would appeal to approximately 6% of our users :)

Yeah but that's the 6% with the most disposable income for website memberships, think about it ;)

Hey, the new ones are only $200, so you'd still have an extra $200 from not buying the old $400 version.  Therefore, you'd have plenty of money left to buy a membership.  :D

Oh, and I own an iPhone, so I would also be really happy if you added chess.com support for the iPhone.  Or maybe you could design a chess.com application for the iPhone and inform Apple of it so they could put it in their App Store.

I think that having chess.com support would be much easier now with the 2.0 update on the iphones. The programming staff would just need to make a program (written in Cocoa Touch I believe) that would link to chess.com's list of turn based games.

I think many of us would be happy to pay upwards to 10-15$ for such a program on the iphone, on top of the standard membership fee. Even us poor students who are miserably addicted to chess :(
