IOS app freezing

This is ruining my chess experience on the chess.com app. Strongly considering getting a refund for my membership, and moving to chess24 or lichess.
Unacceptable that my last 5 games I have lost, due to my app freezing up.

just lost a game to this issue on Ipad. On opponents move their clock froze and then it came up that I lost. Its not my connection I have fiber and am sitting 5 feet from my router, no dissconnect warning or anything. very annoying.


Ditto. Thought issue at 1st was a disconnect- but obviously a bug that needs immediate attention. At least a dozen times / every other game.
You’d expect some acknowledgement from CC - but they never fess up to these issues being their problem.
Are app users all playing in a separate pool ... perhaps on a partitioned server? Maybe the problem isn’t the app itself since the clock just stops after sending a move.
At the very least Staff .... let us know you are aware an issue exists !

a list of iOS developers can be found in the “About” tab found at the bottom of the home page. Need to scroll all the way down. Staff inquires take ages nowadays and all they do is say- looking into it and pass it along. Got to find the right person’s- perhaps the developers.

I'm really sorry for this. We are investigating this issue.
Sadly so far, we haven't been able to reproduce. We've been heavily testing in 1 min and 5 min games in both 4G and Wi-Fi and we've seen no problems.
Can I please get a summary of where you guys are seeing this? Which time control? Are you in Wi-Fi or cellular data when this happens? If this is happening to you in 4G can you try Wi-Fi or vice versa and see if it makes a difference?

Pedro: 10 min games, iPhone and Wifi. Clock of opponent freezes after my move and I can do nothing until I lose because of time. I tried one time turning over to 4g to check if it was the wifi, but all was still frozen
