IOS app freezing

Any resolution to this, it’s happening to me about 1 in five games and very frustrating
+1 super frustrating .. How do you end the game?
This is also happening to me.
I wanted to add that forcing a hard restart of the app lets me go back to the game.

So it seems clear this is an iOS problem — both iPhone and iPad. Happens on WiFi or cellular. Happens often but not every game. Happens in several time controls both blitz and rapid. Chess.com seems aware of the problem and is working on a fix (from what I’ve seen in other posts). I now am very conscious of checking that my opponent’s clock is moving after I move. If it is not, immediately close the app (actually close it, not just switch to the Home Screen) and restart it. The game will reappear often not yet showing your last move. I’ve had to do this several times in some games but at least I’m not immediately losing the game.
I may be a bit dim, only ever used the App. How do you force a close rather than just return to Home Screen?

Same problem here. I have not tried reopening the app. The clock always stops on my opponents move. If I ask for a draw, it will start again, but I lose a bunch of time from my clock!
had the same issue. I'll probably uninstall the app from my iphone

DermoSnr google how do I close an app on an iPhone xx, replacing the xx with your device. It depends on which one you have. Closing apps is a function of the iPhone not the chess.com app.
Same problem on my IPad and IPhone
I have been having the same issue. I lost about 4 games now that I should have won. Very annoyed

Windows 10 froze after bloddy automatic windows update and ios app keeps freezing in winning position... drives me mad!

Still freezing - this has been going on for weeks now. no response from Chess.com.
any suggestions for alternative places to play online - I was about make a subscription but lost my patience after my recently lost game which I was leading on both position and time but froze again. this happens 2/5 games

Happened to me several times over the last couple of weeks. Most annoying.
Frustrating. Happening to me in 5min Blitz with full WiFi signal. I found if I offer a draw & the opponent declines it restarts my timer. Fine if I don’t want a draw. However if I’m winning then it freezes I have to offer the draw which they happily take rather than lose via time out

I'm having the same problem on my ipad mini. Both clocks freeze, have to close app and reopen for it to start again

The site has responded by updating the app to get rid of the bug:
