iOS in-game chat

With the second most recent iOS update—the one that introduced mastery lessons to the app (thanks!)—I noticed that the in-game chat looks really odd; see below. I also don’t see my messages after I send them. 

Is this live or daily?

@ejpiller - thanks for the report! So far I cannot reproduce the effect shown in your screenshot. A few questions, if I may...

If you completely quit/reboot the app, does that have any effect?

Is this one Daily game or all of them? Is there any chat history in the game(s) already - including chat that you might have entered previously via the web, etc.?

Do you have any special keyboards active in iOS?

1. No, completely quitting and restarting the app doesn’t have any effect.

2. It’s all daily games. In archived games that I played previous to the update—ones that I know I chatted in—there’s no chat history (as in, I can’t see any of the older messages sent in chat).

3. I’m using the public beta of iOS 13, with the default keyboard in U.S. English. I have the keyboard’s beta swipe feature enabled.

If it's not too much trouble (and assuming you haven't already done so), could you please try quitting the app, disabling the swipe feature, and restarting the app, to see if that helps?

No problem. Just tried it, and that didn’t have any effect, unfortunately. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. No luck there either.
