IOS Watch Feature Not working

I recently switched from android to iOS. I am on a pro max 14 and I can’t seem to watch any live games for opponents that I just finished playing. After completing the game with an opponent and clicking on the watch function of their next game, it dumps me back in to the game I just played with that opponent rather than the game that they are now playing. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it with no luck. I realize I can do this through my mobile browser, but I’m hoping somebody has a fix for the iOS app.
