iPad update crashes

I just updated the chess.com iPad app - it now crashes on loading. Anyone else have this problem? Can anyone help?

Sorry to hear that! Here are a couple of things to try first (if you haven't already):

- Completely close out any dormant apps that may be running, or turn the device completely off and then on again (in case your issue is memory related)

- Delete the app and reinstall fresh from the Store

If those steps don't help, we would be very interested in seeing a crash log if you could send me one (deepgreene@chess.com). Instructions for getting the log are here:

Step 1: Sync your device with your computer. 
 
Step 2: Find your crash log here:
 
- If Mac OS X : ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
 
- If Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Applecomputer\Logs\CrashReporter\

- If Windows Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Applecomputer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice\

Your crash report should look something like this: Chess_2009-10-29-071531_Phone_Name.crash

(Check the date on the file to ensure you've got a recent example.)

Hope that's somewhat helpful.. I have a 1st-gen iPad myself (now running iOS 5) and I haven't seen this issue.

Restarting and reloading didn't work - I'll send you a crash log when I can get to it

Version 2.2.2 should be in the Store today (now even!)... We're hopeful this one addresses all of the issues with iOS 3.x.
