iphone app problems

Since I installed the most recent upgrade, I am having problems with tactics trainer, online chess and live chess on iphone. Mostly these consist of screen freezes and failures to move on to the next thing, eg tt not acknowledging a move as correct or incorrect, and online chess failing to load.

Anyone else got this?

Sorry you're having issus with the iOS app! Have you tried a fresh install of the app to see if that helps at all? Can you please let me know what version of the iPhone, iOS, and what type of connection you're using?

iphone 4s, ios 7.01, 3g. The app got frozen completely on a live game that timed out, I have uninstalled it and am downloading it again. Will post here if problems continue. thanks.

I also have multiple problems with this on my samsung galaxy s2.

Model GT-19100, Android vrs 4.1.2, Kernel 3.0.31-889555

Common bugs/design flaws I receive:

- Can't submit moves on online chess

- Alert for chat left, but game chat appears blank until phone restart

- When draw offered, can't view board, only offered confusing (and unlabled) button choices

- Won't refresh games list

- Analysis board (from icon in online chess) will often only bring up the first 2 moves of the game

- Can access forums, but can't do the daily puzzle, TT works though

- Sometimes returning from chat brings up jumbled chess board instead of current position

- Can get friend requests (from randoms) on app, but they are not there if I login from PC (possible spam exploit?)

I'm sure I've had others, but these are the most recent ones that I can remember off of the top of my head. Sometimes phone restart helps, sometimes not.

EDIT: I use both 3g and Wi-fi connections for this app

same over here, since the newest update is installed the iphone app seems to be in trouble. same phone like ai36. while playing live chess the connection interrupts and it puts me in an endless limbo of 'reconnecting..'. only completely closing the app and reconnecting manually helps. that's not the most fun thing to do when short on time :/

The phone just updated itself today and I am running v3.0.175

Not sure yet if this latest update has fixed any of these issues, but to add to them:

- App and computer don't sync properly (ie not all moves made in app register on computer or vice versa).

- App current games list (my move) doesn't refresh properly (if I log into computer I can see it is my move on several games, app shows none). Sometimes I get an app notification that it is my move, I load the app and no moves are ready.

- Get seperate alerts for my move as well as messages left (or is this a feature?)

Sorry for the delayed response! In regards to the game list and sync type issues, have you tried going into your application settings, finding the chess.com app and clearing out the app data to see if a refresh helps resolve that at all? Thanks for your help :)

I've now cleared the app data. So far no probs (but this was always the case after a phone restart too...) I'll post again if any persistant probs.

Not sure if you are makinga  list (or if anyone is, or if there is a list to add to....) but another bug seems to be a lack of communication regarding a resigned game. If I resign a game, the app seems to struggle to get back on track. It keeps wanting to show me the game I just resigned instead of any boards that is my move. Usually a phone restart after a computer log in helps.

I'm experiencing problems with daily chess games on the iphone app. Whenever I try to play a move, the Game Update Failed display comes up and no matter how much I hit retry or skip, it will not work. I tried updating the app as well as deleting and reuploading the app, but it still won't work. I am able to make my moves on the website, but just not my phone. I tried playing a live blitz game too and it worked so I'm not sure what's wrong.

The site on a mobile browser is a way to make moves until the problem is resolved.
