I can't find the option to set the tournament to "unrated", is it possible?

I don't see the option either, so apparently not.

Well that's a major chess.com brain cramp. At a time when many brick & mortar clubs switched to online not having unrated events is difficult to fathom. Let's think about this for a second. The rating distributions of most clubs tend to be skewed toward the low end with a few strong players. The higher rated have nothing to gain and lots to lose by playing much lower rated. The lower rated are not inclined to play because they have no chance. Net result is diminished participation. No unrated events is really hurting club participation.

I agree. It doesn't seem to be possible and I really wish it were.

Hi

can some one help please

I joined this site some 6 months ago during the lockdown and found it a great help.
I took a name as hardpawn4 and played several enjoyable games for months. One day I could not log in to make a move no matter how many times and ways I tried. Next morning I found that I lost six 24 hour games I was playing

A day later I found that a game was ready for me to move but under different name ( hayati ) I started the game and still playing under this name which is difficult to understand how it happened

how can I get my original name and rating back?

Well I am really sorry to hear about the loss of your rating but I don't think there is way of getting it back apart from winning games. You should get in touch with the cess.com staff!
