Is There A Way To Delete Rude Forum Posts?

We seem pretty quick on the trigger finger. There are certainly enough jerks here on this site, no question about that. And I have had more than my share of contentious exchanges, and I have been blocked, often frivolously, but I am proud to say that I have yet to block anyone, here or on Face Book. In many cases (well, OK, at least in some cases) a difference of opinions, even if heated, can be overcome. Not every disagreement is insurmountable, and by blocking first and asking questions later, we preclude the possibility of working things out.
I've never blocked anyone here. I want to delete some posts that were
put on my forum topic that I feel were in bad taste.

Is there a way to delete rude forum posts and lock a topic in a forum in which I
was the "Original Poster"? I can't seem to find it under "My Account". Thanks.
