Is there any way of purging account history?

Hello there! I'm planning on upgrading to premium membership soon, and want to start my premium membership with a blank record, is there any way (besides making a new account) I could do that? Thanks.

I reckon not.

You currently have a timeout ratio of 15% - which will prevent you from participating in most tournaments. This will NOT be reset if you merely upgrade.

The timeout ration refers to the last three months only. So if you do not time out in the next three months, that part of your history is automatically purged anyway.

Due to timeouts, I have a w/l ratio of about 14/30, which kind of upsets my stats. Do you think the chess.com support team would be willing to "reset" my account?

I doubt it - but your win/loss ratio would soon revert to 50% even on a new account - if that's how good your chess is!

p.s. my win rate is 49%

Why should they want to reset your timeout stats for you? The timeout statistics is a natural method to encourage people not to lose their games on time. By regularly attending to their games or by resigning in dignity instead of letting the time run out in their losing games.

And the timeout statistics is taking ínto account only the last three months, so all it takes for you to have it purged is play three months without timing out.

Win/loss stats is one of the milder consequences of timing out. If interest in your stats helps keeping you from timing out in future games, then this is another nice reason to keep timeout occurrences rare.

Okay, thank you! It's not like I had a drastic need to reset it, I was just wondering if there was a way. Thanks again for your help.
