You still don't "get it" do you Al? It is irrelevant whether this is an Adult site or not. You seem to think that a site, if labeled as such, should allow swearing. Most all public sites to NOT allow swearing in it's public chat. This is the point .. the site has made rules which if not respected, will send you and other such violaters red flag warnings.

You made the thread, complaining about the fact you got warned for breaking the rules. Well, boo-hoo, cry up a storm ... it won't do you any good. Attacking my personal life is rather childish. Chess games are open for public viewing. You were warned for your public behavior. Time to grow up Al and learn a little something about respect.

MustangMate, while I agree with your general drift, I think there's a conflict between telling Al to show some respect while also telling him to cry up a storm.

shouldn't intention be more important?  those who wish to abuse others will always find a way around the filters.  it's those who are innocently caught up in this automatic filtering that are inconvenienced.  try typing $hitake with the s in place of the $.

i think cursing during game chat with a friend should be allowed. (it used to be)

i think i should be able to write that *something* pi$$es me off-even if it's a joke. (it used to be allowed)

game chat is not available for all to see. (it never has been) so, you do not have to be bothered reading my, "oh, $hit! i messed up!" as you pore over my games.

the whole point of this is that automation is taking away people being people, by regulating instead of allowing adults to discern and discriminate.

You'll find cursing was never allowed. It simply went unnoticed unless reported. Only then by human intervention were warnings sent out. Now, bot's monitor the chat. The process has become automated. Mods simply got tired of it all. The bot's admittedly are not very bright, go well overboard. I was unable to post a medical report because the correct anatomical term was used, had me baffled for a bit. Clearly there is a lot of work to be done. But very few people are losing any sleep about not being able to type and view four letter profanity.

as i wrote in #87, it was. sorry, "mate", but you're simply wrong on this.

if i may go further, the stupid autobot is now dictating how friends communicate with each other in games and pm's.

that, sir, is a load of crap.

(i sincerely hope the word "crap" did not make you cry)

I don't like auto-things in general as they're incapable of nuance or of understanding individual situations or circumstances.    While I have no problem with the language policy in the forums due to their public nature, I don't think it should be (or understand why it is) extended to blogs, clubs or especially PMs.  It's intrusive and unnecessary.  If the purpose is to avoid dissonance, the result is just the opposite.
