Kicked from Live Help

I recently threw a couple cuss words around in a live chess game because I had to resign right at the start of the game due to an emergency exit evacuation in our library building.

I was not by any means cussing at the player I was playing or the game itself, I was simply stating that I had to leave because (the f*ing alarm was going off in our building).  When will I be able to play live chess again?

I understand the etiquette for the site and the sport and will not use language in that nature again no matter the cause.

If you were booted for offending the filtering software, I don't think an apology will hold sway.

You'll just have to wait until your punishment is served.

Well aside from my apology, what I also meant to get through that post was questioning when I'd be able to play live again (i.e. How long is the sentence on punishments by the software)?

I have doubts that such language will not be used again :)

Does anyone have answers, or do just indirect ways of poking fun of a recently kicked player? Just curious... Undecided

Are you serious? or joking?  Why would they make it so your permanently banned from live play.  It doesn't make sense, I am brand new to the site, so how would I know the rules until they were broken.  If everyone went and read every last rule on the site before they played then no games would ever be played and no one would join the website...

I actually have never played chess til now.  I'm trying to learn the game, and was directed to go here.  In terms of language in other games, yeah I'm sure it has been permissable, even when I play in golf tournaments I cuss on the greens.  I didn't realize that chess was so seriously accountable for language in the sport, I've always used language in anything I have played.  But as I said in my original post, "I understand now."

The messages that popped up are semi blocked by our computer because they had some sort of error reading on them ("public library computers").   As far as the warnings, all I saw was a box that showed my comment and had the button "ok" next to it.  So I hit ok, exited the library, came back to try to play a get-back game to win, and learned that I had been kicked/banned from live play.

I don't understand why the pokes at what I did are necessary?  I was asking a simple question in regard to when I would be able to play again, followed by an apology.

Again, sorry.  And I guess I'll find out my ban period when I get home later today.

I'm a member and while i can play on my computer, I've forgotten my password (it remembers me) Tried to load 'Chess' to my (Samsung) cell phone and when I ask for an emailed new password, it has me type in a 5 alpha verification code but this is a dead end because it asks me repeat the process. Is this a program glitch, do I need an app, or am I just being a dummy? Much thanks for any useful help.

What i find amusing is that he had time to type cuss words during an evacuation.  And yes i know this is 5 years old...
