Live Chess Friends

How do I add a friend to my list so I can play live chess via my smart phone. When I choose "challenge a friend" it tells me I have no friends listed and to go to chess.com to add people. I have over 20 friends on my "online chess" site and assumed they would also be available for live chess. Please explain how I can add people to my "live chess" site.

I will do that rcet... Thanks. kohai is working on something else for me too. Yeah, I have a friend who wants to play me live but I'm rarely at home in front of a computer and I have to use my phone if I'm going to play him. The process to add friends to your "live" list is unclear. Ya rcet, we played one game several months ago... want to play again?
