Sadly In cases where there is insufficient material to mate (lone King, King + Knight, King + Bishop, King + 2 Knights) a draw will be automatically declared where there is a time-out.
Sorry

King+ 2 knights should NOT be an automatic draw from timeout. As long as mating position is possible, does not matter if it had to be forced or not.
@BillyFTW however, in your case, it is a draw and not a bug...Because you only had a king left and there is no way you can mate black. (winning on time happens only if mating positions are possible)
Ohhh alright I didn't know that, I thought that when the opponent's timer reaches zero it meant an automatic win. Thanks for clarifying this!

Hello!
I played this game http://www.chess.com/livechess/game.html?id=151335875 which I ended up winning on time. I had much time left when the opponent's counter went to 0, but the game was considered to be drawn! And what's more, because of insufficient material!
Is that a frequent bug? Is there anything to do about it?
Cheers.
