Live Tournament and Match Sound gets turned off!

Hi, 

I have played in several live tournaments and live matches recently where I have the sound on my computer, I play or watch a game before the event begins to make sure the sound is working, and then once the event starts, I lose all sound. I have lost many seconds and even more concentration by missing the sound of my opponent's move. I have tried switching to and from "focus mode" with no effect. 

I rely on sound in live games. 

I am using a Mac and Safari for my interface. This seems to be a recent problem. Please fix it so that I can choose whether to have sound on in my live games, including live tnmts and live matches. 

Thanks! If you are using Beta, this may be the issue. We are working on fixing sounds there. If you need sounds before then, perhaps leave beta until we fix it (soon). Thanks!

I've been waiting for you to fix it since 2016... For now I have to restart Safari every time this happens. It seems all chess.com developers use Windows OS...

Elsewhere, some users have mentioned that if they type "/sound" in the chat, it sometimes works to turn the sound on. So far, I've discovered that hitting refresh does work, but I have also been kicked out of a tournament for hitting refresh, so it's not a real fix.
