locked forum threads

Can anyone tell me why chess.com lock threads ??

I posted a forum thread earlier about being booted from live chess and now the entire thread has been locked??

Generally, they lock threads when they become too angry, divisive or people start cussing a lot. 

Or it gets too off topic. How about this election race, eh?

Sometimes we also lock threads when an issue is resolved.

have they got rid off the silly xxx thing or is that still on

apparently the xxx can be refered to as something pornagraphic and thats why the xxx has been banned from the system

hmmmmm ok we are on a chess site not a porn site but hey rules are rules and we must follow
