Losing on time while I wait for other player to move

Been playing a few bullet games recently, and more than once over the last few days around the first minute or so my opponent would take a long time to make his move, eventually running out of time. But when his time is over, I’m the one losing on time as suddenly the game shows he’s made his move without me seeing it. This literally happened at least 5+ times, is it only me or is it a bug? Thank you
