Lost a game due to database overload!

So, I lost this game (https://www.chess.com/game/live/68398902133) due to your server overload. I got the page where it says database overload. And when I tried to refresh, I had already lost the game! This was my third game against this opponent. I had lost the first two. I was up by quite a lot in this game and then your stupid database crashes! I would have been fine with the game being abandoned. But why did I LOSE? Why wasn't the game just abandoned? Thank You very much Chess.com. Next year, I'll be happy with ads on my page. That way I'll have nothing to complain for as a free user.

I wonder if you read the blog posting on Monday.

I thought they were very apologetic and asked for your patience.

So why do I get penalized for their service outage? That is the only question I wish someone can answer. And do you think losing a game due to their service outage is fair to me?

Open a ticket with support with a link to the game and the should be able to provide a rating refund.

Im just playing daily games until the database is fixed and would recommend doing the same

If things were in my hands i would make all ganes unrated until these issues are sorted. I don't like the way chess.com is handling the situation.

I'll play daily games and study until things settle down.

Is chess.com doing anything to prioritise paying subscribers above non-paying members? It doesn't look like it. And having paid a yearly subscription in December makes me feel ripped off.

I'd say it's more likely to get an extension of your subscription.

I haven't seen anything posted. I imagine that any decisions will likely happen after things are stable again so the extent of the impact is more known.

Just "lost" this game due to server crash when I had mate in freaking 5!  Being diamond member just adds insult to the injury...

Same.

Yeah , I'm about to go back to lichess until servers recover. I just renewed my diamond membership and regret it. This is not something to expect when you pay a yearly subscription. I do understand, however, they may experience issues like any other website. Still frustrating.

I thinking about canceling my paying membership since they can't update my database. I'm trying new openings but can't monitor my results.
