Lost ability to chat in game

Can someone help explain why?

I haven't had any arguments or disagreements with anyone here, not in game, on forums or in club notes or anything like that.  I'd appreciate knowing what is happening?

Not knowingly! I can message and post here ok

Check your settings: daily games, game chatts

there is a drop down menu where you can select everyone

its already set to 'Everyone'

then it is strange , I would open an IT report and ask for correction

Yes. I have the same problem in the android app also

If I didn't know better I'd say I had a chat ban, but if so I have no idea why. I've not chatted with anyone recently.

What is your live chat setting on? They should be the same for Daily and Live but wanted to double check.

There have been reports of that happening to some people and staff are looking into the issue. However, it's unclear how many members it's impacting at this point

All my chat options are on/open/public as far as I can see. Live games, Daily games, site chat. I am happy to chat with anyone!

I did sent a Help request , didn't get any acknowledgement so assume its being looked at.

No, its all games.

As a double check I went in to try a few other ongoing games. One of them I /can/ chat in but all the others I cannot, including games Vs players who are friends and that I have previously chatted with ok.

It's very strange

I also have my chat disabled on all opponents for no discernible reason.

Actually it seems that its only on a single browser, Firefox, running on linux mint. Chromium also running on mint is ok.

Maybe OP can try a different browser? See what happens.

Actually its disabled on all browsers now, spoke too soon. Oh well, I didn't have much to say anyway.
