I have a mac and I have no problem with anything.
Don't take this the wrong way, but have you got friends on your friend list? If you don't then that's probably why. If you do, then I cannot help you.

I just switched to a Mac and now I cannot start new games. When I click "Challenge friends", it just kicks me back to the main page.
