Membership and Billing

I have already renewed my Diamond membership by Paypal and Chess.com has made me basic today, asking me to upgrade. I paid the maximum chargeable amount which I wouldn't have to pay if I let my membership expire and then upgrade again. What is Chess.com up to? They have made me Basic even after receiving payment for renewal. I have written to support but got the usual answer 'due to current circumstances we are unable to help you right away.

Can somebody from Billing/Member support help me immediately with this?

It can take a little while to get to your ticket. Give them some time, they work through the tickets as they get them, so will get to yours. It may take a few days.

Subscriptions are automatically renewed unless you disable that. The original purchase is pretty clear on that.

I have the same problem. If renewal is automatic, how can it expire? And how can they bill you for the renewal? It sounds like they're claiming something they can't do. I'd like to know it for in a year from now.

Some people turn off the auto-renewal, so it can expire that way. Or the card on record can expire so they would be unable to bill.
