Well, I sure understand the spam problem! So even within a group that people have joined there is no way to send group emails, right?

Or what about if people are in a group's forum. Is there some way that people in a group forum can get notified when there is a new posting (like happens here)?

OK, just to be sure I understand:
We have a group with a hand-full of members. Does that mean that they all will be notified by an alert (or something) where there is a new post, new thread, etc.? Or does that simply mean it will be visible when they go to the group and look for it?

Still trying to understand some of the (great!) features here.
Question: is there a way to send a message to multiple people at the same time?
I've got a group of friends playing together in a tournament that I'm managing. How (besides the tournament announcement) can communicate with the group (ask a question, explain a feature here on this server, etc.).
I did form a group thinking that might be useful. But two questions: One - how do I invite people to the group? And two - can I send a message to all members of the group at the same time?
