Migrate Facebook login to chess.com

Hi there,

I currently connect via facebook login API, how can I migrate my current account to a chess.com account only?

I am also a premium member, do I need to re-register on chess.com and then use the facebook / chess.com merge facility?

Will my premium account still be active - or do i need to cancel and then re-new

No. If you have a Facebook chess app account and a Chess.com account you can merge both successfully. It won't affect your premium membership.

Go into your facebook account, then into your Account page from there. At the bottom on the left it says

"Merge Facebook/Chess Accounts

Merge your two accounts into one..."

Use that, but please make sure if you're entering an email address that it IS the one attached the the chess.com account you want to merge with.

I dont currently have a native chess.com account. Do I need to create one first?

If I do try register with that email - it picks me up as using it on facebook

Create a Chess.com account to merge with. Please use a different email address to the one your facebook account uses. Once you've merged, you can change that to any email address you want.
