Missing pieces on preview boards

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone else has had this, I upgraded to IE 8 and now I don't see the pieces on the preview type boards anymore (ie, the little ones on the vote chess page). They are displaying ok in the hover preview mode (when you hover over a game link).

Does anyone know of a solution for this? I don't have a problem seeing pieces in my proper game pages, just the previews...

Try flushing your cache/temp-storage. That helps on a variety of browsers.

Thanks Rob, but I have a special scenario... It doesn't show in any of my browsers (IE 8 and Firefox). I'm not sure what's going on...

I've tried most of the suggestions and they didn't work.

Until now still search the solution, meanwhile while playing the game I always press Ctrl-F5, :((

Oh well, turns out mine was very easy to fix, once I was forced to reboot my machine... lol

My problem was most probably different from yours. In my case, only the little boards that is used to preview the position was not working, not the big one where you play the game.

I rebooted and everything worked fine.

 Then how to fix my problem?

Anyone can help me?

Is there something wrong with hardware of the PC?

Or is there any setting for this?

Go to the help section, there are a couple of suggestions in there somewhere:

Most often, this kind of problem fixes itself by just refreshing, or waiting a little and then trying again. My guess is that this kind of problem simply seems to arise when the servers providing the little graphics pictures take a little longer than usual until they respond.
