Mobile - Connection Failed. Try again.

Hi guys!

I've just downloaded and installed the mobil chess application for mobile phones (not iPhone nor Androids). Actually I'm using a SonyEricson Elm.
Everytime I try to login, I get ' Connection Failed. Try again.
and I try and I try................

What could be the problem or even better: the solution?

Will there be anything new?

i'm hoping that our next iteration for symbian phone will have all the same stuff that android and iphone have. but i'm not sure that is technically possible. i'm stilly trying to find a top-notch symbian developer...

Erik, thanks for answering. But a 'new app' is something (I welcome), another thing is, that the published java-app for 'non-modern' mobiles on chess.com apparently fails!
So, if not functioning properly anylonger, why have it sitting there for download anyway?

Or did I misunderstand something here

it is still working for SOME phones. 

I have the same problem with my Blackberry 9700 running OS6. Neither the native app or the java one mentioned above will connect.

After blocking BES/MDS connectivity via permissions I now get a BB error saying it requested an internal connection which was not allowed (since I blocked it). It shouldn't be trying to use BES/MDS it should be using BIS for internet connectivity.

I suspect the native BB app tries to use the internal connection as well and that's why it fails, can this be changed?

I have the exact same problem as alexfriis. I used to have Sony Ericsson C510 and the mobile chess worked properly, unfortunately my phone got broken and now I have SE Elm (these phones are almost the same, Elm only has some features more) and the chess app doesn't work. There always shows "Connection Failed. Try Again." I tried to set the same network settings in Elm as I had set in C510, but it didn't help. 

Could somebody help please? Thanx
