mobile phone chess invalid password

Hi, I've tried to download mobile phone chess a few times now with the same result each time......Invalid password! Obviously I'm sure of my password and have checked the spelling and input many times....Can you help??

the problem i had with the password was when i typed it with my cellphone it came out Capitalized, so on here i made my password in Capital and it wasnt invalid there

Tried that..... to no avail unfortunately

I imagine this is probably a bit late for you but I had the same issue and found this post by searching so hopefully helps someone else who searches in future.  

I have recently solved this by simply changing my phones keypad/ keyboard from compact qwerty to full qwerty when typing the password.  Lol this kept me puzzled for months I kept re-installing the chess.com  mobile Java app but it just wouldn't let me type my password until I changed to full qwerty.  Now finally enjoying mobile chess

Which mobile device is it and which app are you using?

Now I have the same problem on Samsung croby. Some months ago I was playing without problem, but now i am not able to sign in. It returns a error message of invalid password. I'm sure it's well typed, I've tryed several times and overcheck but always without sucess...

Have you tried turning off the device and restarting it? Or logging in via a computer then via the device?

I'm having the same problem.  I have been playing for months on my Nokia c3100 with no problems and then last week it started to say my password was invalid.  I always auto logged on and never changed my password but now it won't log on.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, changing passwords on the main site, nothing is working.

iPhone chess.com app wont work either...wont log in

There's a new iPhone app updated yesterday (Friday) you might try uninstalling the app completely and re-installing.  

Those of you with the invalid password issue -- are you using Java Phones?

Downloaded the new ap yesterday. Since the site went down for maintanence a couple of hours ago I am unable to log in on the iphone chess.com ap

Deleted and reinstalled the app. Works now

Yes. I am using Java app on my berry curve and facing same problem. Invalid password

G'day. I'm having similar problems with the Java client on my Berry 9900. - invalid password. Tried changing password and reinstalling to no avail. Last time this happened I recall Support had it working again the same day. GL guys, and thanks for all the great support we get all the other days to keep the system up!

I've been informed that Chess.com no longer supports Java phones, (but this might be re-instated in the future). In case this still works, will you try this please:

1) From PC's browser open a link  http://chess.com/mobile/bin/www.chess.com/Chess.com.jar 

2) Download JAVA file and save it at your PC.

3) Send "chess.com.jar" to your mobile phone using data-cable, bluetooth or card-reader.

4) Install

update, I've just heard from one member with a Java phone for whom this did not work. :( Let me know if any of you are successful.

Doesn't work on my blackberry anymore either.
