Mouse Slipping?

Sort:
Master_Po

When I try to move a chess piece, it often falls short and/or it's hard to grab and move.  I can no longer play blitz because of slipped moves. (may be a good thing?)

Anyway, is this my mouse problem?  Need a new mouse or something else?  Thanks for help.

Are you dragging and dropping the piece? If you are then I recommend clicking on the piece and clicking on the square where you want to move that piece. This way there is fewer mouse slips.

Problem is it takes a little longer that way. Before it was click-move-release, and now it's click-release-move-click-release.

Next time how about some more info: is it hardwired or wireless? What's your OS? What's the make/model of the mouse?

Test the batteries, if no battery tester replace them with brand new ones for starters.

Actually, you just click-release-click-release

You have to move your mouse too. You're just not holding onto the piece as you move your mouse.

lol, been playing 1 year 3 months and didn't know that method AlwaysGoingToWin.  Thanks a bunch! (Yes, I'd always used the drag and drop method)

I suppose too, that once you click on the piece, you can't cancel?   (Similar to OTB, once you pick up a piece, you MUST move it?)

Just click on the piece again to cancel.
