Hello, Sack happy

If one wants to open a 2nd Chess.com account (and the 1st one is still active), then one has to request permission from the Support Staff -- and they will usually grant the request (although I've never had another Chess.com account in all the 7 years that I've been a member here -- it's just that I read it somewhere here). BUT, if you open another Chess.com acccount through other channels -- using another email on another device, that is not allowed. BUT THEY (Chess.com) USUALLY WON'T FIND OUT UNLESS YOU TELL THEM (according to what I've read and have been told). That is how others here have gotten away with having another account here by using another email account AND another device. ALTHOUGH I KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT IF YOU USE THE SAME DEVICE (e.g. the same computer), Chess.com's SYSTEM WILL DETECT IT AND WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

In your case, by having used another email address and another device elsewhere -- you don't have to tell them, if you don't want to (although it is against Chess.com's policy). AGAIN, THAT IS HOW OTHERS HERE HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH HAVING SEVERAL ACCOUNTS AT THE SAME TIME! (I do not know (neither do I have any idea -- as long as I've been here for over 7 years -- who Viroh is -- but if there is such an individual, THEN THAT IS EXACTLY HOW HE IS ABLE TO HAVE SEVERAL ACCOUNTS OPEN & ACTIVE HERE AT THE SAME TIME!)

Sack -

That's entirely up to you. I don't know what the consequences are (if there are any) for not telling them and they happen to find out. I've heard of others here who have gotten away with it.

I would suggest that you to tell them about it (support@chess.com) and see whether or not they let you keep it. If they don't, they'll probably suggest you open another account under the same email and device (because I think you're allowed to have 2 or 3 at the same time under the same email and device?).

I understand, Sack happy

Still, try it.
Open up your email.
Click on 'Compose'.
Type: support@chess.com

And then just copy & paste your 1st comment (here it is below - I've copied & pasted it right below here for you - and just copy & paste it into your email) :

so i made a new cc account on my school email, so do i have to clear this by mods or smth? i couldnt log in since it was my school acc and i didnt want to

And just click 'Send' happy
(Oh, and I've always tried to be really nice in my emails to them. At the end of the message, just say this: Please, thank you happy (with a smiling emoji).

I tried it, and you can't have multiple under the same email

Hello 🙂

That's right, I'm partway through the process of getting an alt.

But believe it or not, you can open multiple accounts on one device at the same time.

Hello, Spencer happy

Yes, but from what I've read from a few others in the past on this site, a Chess.com member is allowed to have 2 accounts here at the same time -- so, I'm pretty sure one would have to ask Chess.com -- and then they will have it set up somehow so that you can open another one under the same device.

Even two unrelated accounts

Hello again, Sack happy

I'm sorry you're having to go through this -- but if you were able to send that email, an actual support person will contact you. That's the way it's been for me for all these 7 years -- except that it's been a year or so since I've send them any emails (but it used to be that simple via emails). But from what I've read recently, they've changed the process on how to contact Support.

Martin_Stahl (who posted the message here right before your last message - Post #16) is the moderator, and he posted a link on how to go about it. Here (the following below) is the link again from his Post #16 (I just copied & pasted it here - below) :

Sack-O-Potatoes HAVE BEEN A FRIEND FOR SEVERAL YEARS; AND I'VE ALWAYS TALKED TO HIM THE WAY I HAVE HERE!!!

HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF HAVING A "BEHAVIOR"!!! YOU HAVE NOT BEEN IN ANY OF THE OTHER FORUMS THAT I HAVE BEEN IN (WITHIN THE 7-YEAR TIMEFRAME THAT I'VE BEEN A MEMBER HERE)!!! YOU ONLY KNOW ME FROM THOSE 2 FORUMS!!!

YOU NEED TO GO BACK AND READ EVERYTHING IN THOSE 2 FORUMS ENTITLED: "i left for 3 days and i have so many messages" AND "why am I getting hacked??"

IT'S NOT FAIR AND NOT JUST TO JUDGE SOMEONE WITHOUT KNOWING OR READING EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!

mirahata Wurugashikai , ShivanshuKumar , Carlsen , KingOfBrilliancy , CanidateMaster -- HAVE ALL APOLOGIZED TO ME IN THE FORUM ENTITLED:  i left for 3 days and i have so many messages".

THIS (RIGHT BELOW THIS SENTENCE) IS WHAT Carlsen SAID TO PoliN999 (in that last forum entitled: "i left for 3 days and i have so many messages" :"If you don't want this argument to continue, you should apologize sincerely like the others. Has Blissie said a single thing about them after that? No. It is for a reason - they've sincerely apologized to her for their wrongdoings."

DO YOU HAVE A HABIT OF JUDGING PEOPLE BEFORE READING (OR KNOWING) EVERYTHING?!!!
ALL I'VE BEEN DOING WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN (IN THOSE 2 FORUMS) ALL THAT WAS ACCUSED OF ME!!! BUT ALL YOUR BUDDIES JUST CONTINUED TO VERBALLY ACCUSE & OFFEND AND VERBALLY ATTACK ME!

YOU SEEM AS THOUGH YOU, YOURSELF, HAVE A CLOSED-MIND WHO CANNOT BE REASONED WITH, AND IS A 14-YEAR-OLD BRAT JUST LIKE YOUR BUDDIES IN THOSE 2 FORUMS!!!

I'M SO GLAD I BLOCKED YOU!!!

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!
