New Chess.com Question
Resign is the flag if you are on the website.
The flag is resign?
How nice of the designers to not use the word "resign" ....did they think that was too simple and straightforward?
That's curious. My image came from Live Chess (as the OP was playing) in Chrome.
I just did a test in Daily Chess and it's like yours:
Firefox is identical in both cases.
Here's Firefox in Live Chess:

("Abort" changes to "Resign" once the game begins.)
Hey how do you post articles?
Only approved members can post articles. If a person writes good blogs they might get approached for articles.
...and the word Resign in Live Chess.
OK I'm looking right at the new site live game and NOWHERE does it say the word resign when I play a game. I don't know where you got that picture you posted but it ain't on mine.
That dingey little gray flag doesn't even come close to giving anyone a clue that it's the resign icon.
Like I said, just another nail in the coffin why so many people don't like the changes they made and stick to the old site.
Not to belabor a point but I can;t really see the issue:
You don't see the issue because the picture you posted with the word resign in big bold letters is on your screen but not on mine or many other people who have the problem. Why is your version different?
Cache issue?
Not hardly. I'm on the site on many different computers. It's the same on all of them.
Prolly cause it's common knowledge that a white flag means I surrender.
No, it's common knowledge that a white flag means a truce. Haven't you watched all those French Foreign Legion, World War, and Cowboy and Indian movies where the two sides meet to negotiate - and not usually a surrender - under a white flag?

Playing a 5 minute live game and couldn't figure out how to resign. One more reason I don't use the new format.
