New computer, extreme analysis lag

Hi, I recently switched from a mid-tier laptop to a top-tier desktop with Ryzen 9 9900x and a 4070 Super Ti.

Strangely, when using chess.com, the performance in analysis mode has become abysmal compared to my old laptop. Now it completely freezes the browser for seconds at a time, at almost every move I make in a variation. This does not happen at all when using lichess analysis. What is happening?

For the record I am a platinum user.

You might check your browser settings.

If hardware acceleration is off, try turning it on. If it's on, try turning it off.

This is happening to me too, 7700x with 32gb ddr5.

Seems like it was fine before I upgraded to diamond. Maybe because diamond is using a stronger engine?

Analysis is blasting fast on my phone but kills my gaming pc

I tried both ways, and it didn't make any difference. I also refreshed my firefox install, removed all cache and cookies, etc.

Chess.com is never going to admit any fault. Martin_Stahl runs interference on any such topic every single time. In fact, I doubt it's a single person, more likely it's multiple people using the same account to respond. It's *always* going to be something on your end according to them; your computer, your browser, your internet connection. Soon they'll be blaming the keyboards and the mouse, but never themselves.

My account isn't a shared account. I have also never said problems are always client side. There can also be problems between the client and the server. For problems from site side, it's going to be something that impacts pretty much everyone and is very obvious when that happens, which isn't often.

It's interesting to me how so many people report the same types of problems yet the "solutions" you offer never seem to work and then the threads are either locked or just simply die. I stand by what I said, chess.com will never accept any responsibility for their issues.

If you follow some staff accounts and the main @chesscom account, you'll see that problems are acknowledged and worked on. Staff have done AMAs on work being done to scale and improve site performances.

There are also a lot of client side variables that can impact how things work and/or cause issues.
