new events app problems

Hi, I don't know where this post should go, but the new events app for me doesn't work properly. Yesterday the match loaded and then a minute later stopped and didn't load again (i refreshed, closed the app and opened etc and nothing). Today I opened the app and after scrolling a few seconds the whole screen became dark, without content, i can still scroll but see nothing. This is on an iphone SE. i assume it is because it just launched and will be patched soon. Also it asked to accept cookies like a website, and it feels like a container app that loads a website at the moment. But the idea I find nice so I hope it works soon 🙂

I managed to also reproduce the last issue a few times. I just scroll to the bottom, and up one or 2 times and then it gets stuck in that state with just the background and nothing to see

The app is essentially a web view of the events page. Do you see the same issue when viewing via the website? Also, iOS or Android?

I never really try from the website, but I could try it later and let you know. I have watched through the regular chess.com app and didn't have the issue there. It's an iphone SE, iOS 17 (I think). I had forgotten the term web view hehe. I had to develop a few web view apps many years ago, so I noticed it was like that, but still I think they could at least maybe not show the cookie banner when you go through the app, unless there is some legal reason behind I can't remember. I just remember the struggle with apple to let the app go in the store if it didn't have some extra value than being just a container for the website.
