some time ago I posted here that I didn't see the pieces in live chess, tactics trainer etc. in Firefox. There seem to be some different causes and therefore solutions for this problem, however today I found "my" solution by chance and thought I'd share it.
In Firefox, you can enter the URL "about:config" to enter a configuration site where you can change a lot of options that are not accessible via the main menu. I found that the entry "dom.disable_image_src_set" was set to "true". After changing this to "false" the pieces are back :)
Glad I found this because I hated to use IE ...
