It’s been a year, sound still not fixed

I play chess at Chess.com using a Dell Inspiron 7000 PC.  I get intermittent loss of sound for moves.  Most moves have sound but some moves have no sound. It must be a defect in the Chess.com software.  I don't get this behavior anywhere else.

No sound for pieces moving. I have sound playing puzzles and moving, but in a live game no sound. I've missed opponent moves

Hopeless app. Suddenly the sound stopped . I checked everything. YouTube and other sound apps are working fine. Even music . Sound is on in the settings. Tried making it off and on several times but in vain. Also, tried restarting the iPhone but in vain. Plus tried deleting and reinstalling the app but did not work. Hopeless app. Sound suddenly stops. No customer support also to fix it

Is the ringer switch in the ‘on’ position?

Intermittent problem for me, but seems I haven’t heard the moves for a couple of weeks maybe since I bought my iPad Air. Also I’ve never been able to get the time warning sound or haptic feedback to work. Maybe the sound is too high-pitched for my old ears, but that wouldn’t explain not having the feedback. Settings are set up correctly unless there’s another settings tab other than the one that’s present during gameplay. Hope somebody somebody can help.

I am having big sound problems. I just got a brand new (very expensive) laptop and the sound is very sporadic. I had previous problems with my prior laptop as well (particularly on bluetooth). I have tried both Chrome and Edge and it is the same. There are clearly some bugs in the software. If anyone from chess.com is listening, I'd be happy to troubleshoot with you.

I have sound if I play without signing in but none when I have logged in.

I haven't combed through all the responses.. but I figured I'd throw out another option that worked for me.

I went to settings- pieces and board- then sound theme.. Changed the theme to a few different ones, and then when I turned it back to "default", it started working again.

I also have no sound

Yep no sound at all it's dam annoying in timed games and puts you at a disadvantage. Is it done to punish people purposefully who piss chess.com off?

I cant imagine every player on chess.com has this problem....and so far in this forum no solution.

I mean that's a site that SUX....

Did anyone solve their “no sound problem”? Because sound has suddenly abandoned me help I need sound

The sounds are really a problem in chess.com. I just lost a timed game because the sounds got suddenly muted in midgame. Also in android one has to switch over to youtube or music app to change volume level, because the volume buttons don't specifically work in the chess.com app. Sometimes it gives the opponent up to 15 seconds advantage, which is kind of much in a 1-minute bullet. But on the other hand sometimes the pieces move without sound even though the volume is maxed out, frequently my clock ticks away on the opponent's turn and sometimes there's a toddler tugging at the mobile, so it's better to just laugh it off and not take it too seriously. I don't pay for this after all. I might if it worked properly though.
