No sound on desktop, ok on apps. Any ideas?
I get this issue as well for usually the first move. I find if I click on the back button the sound returns. I also get an issue where my game screen is slightly zoomed in and the squares edges are not as sharp graphically as they should be. I’m sure it’s a setting but I can’t figure it out.
When I say back button I mean previous move not back in the browser.

Where do you not hear sound? We've been making some updates that could be affecting you.
Also what browser and operating system to you use?
Happens after I start a game. I use safari on Mac iOS.

Sound came back briefly last night, gone off again whilst playing live against human, but ok against the computer.

If that is the case it makes me think its not a code issue on the site.
have you tried clearing your cache lately?
Yes, cleared cache. Sound worked fine for 6 months plus until 2 weeks ago or so. Every so often you guys do something g and sound returns for a couple of hours then disappears!
Still only sound playing computer, none with humans!

No sound on my opponent’s moves. I can hear my own moves, but not my opponent's.
I have the same issue.... drives me nuts and affects my games... especially the timed ones. I am on a PC using Chrome.
It *seems* to be working, at least for now thanks
