No sound on iPad

The sound in the Chess.com app has suddenly gone missing on my iPad. Sound is activated in the settings, and sound works correctly in all other apps. How can I fix this?

Sorry about delayed reply, but I only saw your query just. now.

The sound came back all of itself. It disappeared again after a couple of weeks, but reappeared after some weeks. It works correctly at the moment, but I'm neither to  blame or to pe praised abut this. I don't know what happened.

Same ipad trouble.  No sound, including videos.

Me too, no sound on ipad. No other apps have sound issues on ipad. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks

I was able to fix.  I had to change the "lock" setting from screen rotation back to sound and "unmute", and then the sound on chess.com was restored.  I hope this helps.

Sounds on chess websites suck anyway.  You should be thankful.

I had issue,but I was in Mute mode.  Turns out mude mode still allows a lot of sounds, so I thought only chess.com had a problem.

I did have this problem for a while, but it has been resolved long ago. I don't remember how.

if you power down and boot back up it fixes on mine. Not a satisfying solution
