When you switched from unrated to rated, just below there, there is a little check box marked "show timer".
Can you check your settings please and let me know if you have that checked or not.
If its not checked, you won't see the timer :)

Yeah, that's it. Seems like a strange option to me, but I guess some people must like it.
I was not liking Tactics Trainer due to the time mode. (As an aside, I still would like to see a "3 minute fixed time" mode, but that isn't the point of this question.) I decided to switch to untimed mode. I liked that, and was using it for a while, but decided I wanted to see if I had improved any in the rated mode. Therefore, I switched back to timed mode.
However, there's a problem. When I switched back to timed mode, the progress bar showing the time limit disappeared. Now I can't see how much time is left.
Is this a known problem? Does it have a fix? I'm using Windows 7, 32 bit, with Internet Explorer 8.
