On The Ethics Of Speed Run Accounts on Chess.com

I was watching a popular content provider play a speed run at a lower level and it made me consider chess.com's policy. Firstly, I understand ELO refunded. But, players do not consent to play in these situations. If the player did not care about playing someone with a higher ability, they would have played a non-rated game. Essentially, I would consider this a form of cheating on the content providers part rationalized as educational material.

Secondly, these players do not consent to have their chess.com user names posted on speed run videos. I for one would be displeased if this occurred to me and would feel like someone is using my game to make money. I doubt my concerns will lead to change of policy. But, please consider.

A lot of members stream, so if you don't want to take a chance of playing a streamer, you would need to only play people you know.
