Wow. Sometimes that happens to me to. Sometimes, it freezes and I have to get on C.c all over again, but I can actually move my pieces the second time.
Online chess freezes up!!!!

Everything is FINE with my computer. EVERY chess site I go to is fine, but no, this site freezes up for me!

You might want to clear your on-line browsing history. That usually will help with web pages freezing, as there are too many conflicting pages for your browser to go through. Also clear your cookies, they too mount up and clutter your browser.

How do I clear cookies? Where do I go?

Try uninstalling chess.com and reinstall it. You wont lose your online games by uninstalling chess.com. Make sure you have your password...after uninstalling...use browser...find chess.com...get it and use your email and password to get back to everything as normal again. Maybe....
How does one unistall a web site?

I use FireFox, depending on your internet browser the tabs may be different but the process is pretty much the same.
Go to your internet explorer and open. Look for tools, open, under options open privacy and look for "clear browsing history" and in the same are it should have "clear all cookies".
If your like me, you are on C.c a majority of the time, so both history and cookies really add up fast and if at one time your page frooze then that is what keeps causing it to freeze. This is providing that there isn't another problem with your computer, however, you said you don't have this problem on other sights?

I had the same problem with Internet Explorer 8. Now I use goggle Chrome and it goes fine. You can also try "CCleaner" (free download) to clean all cookies.

Yes, FireFox, Google Chrome seem to work and load a lot faster. I believe much of the problem with IE is that if you didn't make every update that they came out with, then you are missing certain elements for a smooth running internet. Keeping in mind your operating system, you could be a lot of updates behind. Even if you have it set for "automatic updates" there are many of them that have to be approved by you or it won't allow the update.
I am sick and tired of this! Everytime I get on my online chess games, the screen freezes up, and will NOT allow me to move a piece! It shuts my computer down. Everywere else on C.c, my computer works fine and does not freeze up. I have also noted that this started to happen when Chess.com updated online chess! I really want everything fixed, as I will lose all my games!
