Unless something has recently changed, the insufficient material rule here only looks at the material the side with time has to determine if it is a draw.
King and Bishop is not sufficient material to mate under thise rules.

Hello chesslovers!
I got a question for you. I already read in some posts, that a game will be drawn, in online-chess as well as in live-chess, when one runs out of time, and the other one hasnt got enough material to produce a mate. It will then be a draw by time-out vs insufficient material. So far so good.
I have the situation, that in an online-chess game my opponent only got his king and a bishop left, I myself only have the king and a pawn. My opponent seems to delay the result, as he didnt take my pawn, even though he could have. So, here´s the question: If I let time run out, will it be a draw automatically?
I read in a post, it will be draw by insufficient material, if the game cant be won by any legal move. But isnt it possible to get a win with a bishop, when the opposite king and his pawn are in a certain position, like his own pawn is trapping him in the corner or something.
I would like to get the draw by time-out, but dont wanna risk a loss. Hope you can help me.
Regards, Phil
