That doesn't work, it only works for the first few moves. After that even using that method you have to manually enter moves.

I'm well aware you can select moves with the cursor. In several of my current games it does not import all the moves. Please stop confusing the issue by claiming there is a solution which does not work.

The opening book stops at a certain point, so the moves from your game must be added manually if you want to take it further. For example, I am currently playing white vs a Winawer French. 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Bb4 4.e5 c5 5.a3 Bxc3+ 6.bxc3 and it ends there. If I wish to continue to explore previous games from my current position I must make the moves Nc6 7.Qg4 Ne7 8.Qxg7 Rg8 9.Qxh7 Qxc7 10.Bd3 cxd4 11.Ne2 Bd7 12.0-0 dxc3 13.Bf4 0-0-0 14.Bg3 Ng6 myself in the explorer + remember the moves as I do so. Before the current position was just there, whether it had been played before or not. Obviously this is additional time and effort. In the absence of any explanation or justification from chess.com I can only conclude it is a poorly thought out, pointless and stupid tweak which nobody wanted or asked for.

Keep going in your matches and you will run into the same problem as the rest of us, because the opening book stops after a certain point, and there is no solution to the problem other than to download a PGN and use it on a different site (since the only way to import a PGN here is to do it in the analysis engine, which is cheating), or to manually enter moves.

Yes but when you click on opening explorer it resets the position to no moves

It also doesn't import any moves past the official "opening." So it only works for the book opening, once you pass that number of moves you have to continue by entering moves manually.

They get very communicative when you cancel your membership. I do a yearly and I cancel it immediately after I buy it so I don't get rebilled. So I can't participate in this, but in my experience it does tend to get their attention every time.
If you feel it warrants cancellation, just cancel and reply to the email they send you asking why you cancelled, and maybe they'll actually do something about it. They send a form letter but they do answer the email when you reply.

Yes. That's why I cancel immediately after I buy my yearly. You're still a member for the remainder of your subscription, it just cancels the auto-rebill.
