Opening names not showing up during live games

Instead of the opening of the game being classified on the side of the screen, it just says either 'starting position' or 'custom position'. i really like the feature (when it works). it's especially annoying when i'm playing daily games because every single game i have going currently says 'smith-morra gambit' no matter which game it was. please help! tyty

Maybe reinstall the app, I cannot even get the opening line thing to show on my mobile

Yep and in post-game analysis I'm seeing "Loading ECO database" rather than the opening name.

This feature has been breaking more often in the last few months. FICS had this feature long ago. Every place I've played has had this feature for years. It's the only reason I learned openings in the first place. New players benefit the most. It's the beginning of chess literacy.

If the desire for the game to be known is not enough, how about the dues chess.com is collecting? If it's hard to fix please tell us why. Do we need to file support tickets or bug reports?

I'm opening analysis boards on lichess and putting in the moves. It makes me question paying dues here.
